Biggest Royal Park Hotel Opens Steps from Tokyo Disney Resort

By Florenda Corpuz

Families and groups planning a visit to Tokyo Disney Resort have a new resort-style option with the opening of The Royal Park Hotel Maihama Resort Tokyo Bay, now the largest hotel in the Royal Park Hotels group by Mitsubishi Estate Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd.

Located in Urayasu and within walking distance of Tokyo DisneySea, the newly opened hotel is designed to make guests feel as though they are stepping into an overseas vacation while staying close to one of Japan’s most popular destinations.

Built around the concept “Travelogue: Memories of a Foreign Trip,” the hotel draws on the themes nostalgic, exotic and resort. Its interiors are designed to evoke the vivid impressions of travel abroad while offering the warmth and comfort of a familiar retreat. The atmosphere is meant to feel removed from everyday life, creating a memorable stay that serves as both the prologue and epilogue to a guest’s journey.

The 14-story hotel features 750 rooms, making it the 25th property under The Royal Park Hotels brand, which operates in 12 prefectures across Japan. According to the hotel’s marketing manager, the property primarily targets “families and groups of friends visiting Tokyo Disney Resort,” with facilities and room designs suited for shared stays.

Rooms Inspired by Global Travel

The hotel’s Standard Floor rooms are inspired by the world’s four seas, designed to give guests the feeling of traveling across different regions of the globe.

For guests seeking a more immersive experience, the hotel also offers Concept Rooms built around three travel-inspired themes: Arabian, Safari, and Ocean. Each room style reflects the excitement of exploration, from exotic Arabian decor and safari motifs to the refreshing atmosphere of the sea.

Dining in a Family-Friendly Setting

Guests can start their day at the hotel’s restaurant, “The Compass,” which serves an international buffet breakfast in a family-friendly environment, offering a variety of dishes suited to both adults and children.

Convenient Access to the Parks

The hotel is about five minutes by car from Maihama Station and offers a paid parking area that can accommodate approximately 400 vehicles. A dedicated shuttle bus also runs between the hotel and Maihama Station, as well as between the hotel and Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, providing convenient transportation for visitors.

With its travel-inspired design, spacious accommodations and easy access to the Disney parks, The Royal Park Hotel Maihama Resort Tokyo Bay aims to offer guests a stay that feels like a journey abroad without ever leaving Japan.
