CHIBA – Hollywood stars returned the love to fans at Tokyo Comic Con 2025, held Dec. 6 to 8 at Makuhari Messe, expressing gratitude for the enthusiastic reception that has made the event a staple of Japan’s pop culture calendar.
Since its launch in 2016, Tokyo Comic Con has drawn thousands of fans eager to meet international stars. This year’s gathering featured a mix of returning favorites and first-time guests, including Jim Lee, C.B. Cebulski, Daniel Logan, Nicholas Hoult, Evanna Lynch, Jack Quaid, Elijah Wood, Tadanobu Asano, Sebastian Stan, Christina Ricci, Jon Bernthal, Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, Pilou Asbæk, Tom Wilson, Claudia Wells, Lea Thompson, Christopher Lloyd, Mads Mikkelsen, and Johnny Depp.

Actor Elijah Wood, known for his role in “The Lord of the Rings” film series, praised the energy of the crowd. “Oh my God, we’re really crushing this. Arigato, Tokyo! It has been such a joy to meet you all this weekend. Thank you so much for everything,” he said.
Christina Ricci also expressed her delight at the warm reception. “Thank you so much, Tokyo. It’s been such an amazing experience. I’ve loved meeting all of you,” she said.

Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen, a returning favorite, was surprised with a late birthday greeting, prompting laughter and applause. “Thank you, guys, for giving me the best birthday I’ve ever had. Your sake is making me 20 years older, but you guys are making me 30 years younger,” he said.
