TOKYO – Japan’s nationwide state of emergency completely ended Monday after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe declared the removal of restrictions for Tokyo and the neighboring prefectures of Saitama, Chiba, Kanagawa, as well as the northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido ahead of the planned deadline of May 31.
