Gabby Concepcion Remains Philippines’ Premier Leading Man

There are several respected veteran actors in the Philippine show business, but none come close to Gabby Concepcion, who, in his late 50s, is still considered the country’s “Premier Leading Man.” He has maintained a remarkable presence in the showbiz industry for decades.

He captured the hearts of many in the late ‘70s as a heartthrob, and years later, his name still resonates with the viewing public. He continues to elicit rave reviews and admiration for his roles, remaining versatile enough to be paired with leading ladies of this generation.

At 59 years old, Gabby has been paired with Kapuso actresses such as Sanya Lopez in “First Yaya” (2021) and “First Lady” (2022), Carla Abellana and Beauty Gonzalez in “Stolen Life” (2023), and currently with Marian Rivera in “My Guardian Alien.”

Gabby, in a recent interview, admitted that he is willing to do whatever it takes to make the series more exciting and interesting to the fans.

“Well, ever since, I’ve been very supportive of the entire cast, kung anong ipagawa sa akin ay gagawin ko,” he said in the press conference for the series.

In the series, Gabby plays the role of Carlos, Katherine’s (Marian) husband. They enjoy an ideal, happy family life until she meets an accident, leaving Carlos and their son Doy devastated. Subsequently, a mysterious pod falls to Earth, and the alien inside it assumes the form of the deceased Katherine.
