Glaiza De Castro Grateful to Filipinos in Japan for their Hospitality

MANILA/TOKYO – “Thankful ako sa mga Kapuso natin sa Japan na talagang inalalayan din kami, very hospitable sila, tinour nila kami sa mga places.”

These were the words uttered by actress Glaiza De Castro during a recently held online fan event with the cast of her new GMA 7 afternoon series, “Nagbabagang Luha,” which began airing last Aug. 2.

The Kapuso star shared her most memorable travel moments and encounters with her fellow Filipinos in the “Land of the Rising Sun.”

“First time kong pumunta ng Japan was for a ‘Magpakailanman’ taping. Doon ako nakakilala ng mga Kapuso natin doon, and every time na bumabalik ako, mine-meet ko sila. So sila yung nagto-tour sa akin like sa mga best ramen places, and then nung cherry blossoms, bumalik din ako with my family,” De Castro said.

“Yung first time kong pumunta doon na cherry blossoms as in dinala kami nung mga Kapuso natin sa Japan sa isang park. Sobra akong na-amaze. It was a very precious moment to us as a family kasi my parents worked there for a few years and never silang nakapasyal, puro trabaho yung ginagawa nila,” she went on.

With these, Glaiza said she is thankful to them.

Kapuso viewers in Japan can watch “Nagbabagang Luha” - under the helm of esteemed director Ricky Davao - on GMA’s flagship international channel, GMA Pinoy TV. For the program guide, visit www.gmapinoytv.com. - Florenda Corpuz
