Japan Reaches Over 70M COVID-19 Vaccine Shots Administered

TOKYO – Japan has administered 70,051,205 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to people in the country, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said.

The PMO said 27,411,127 residents had received at least one shot of the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna drugs, while 42,640,078 are fully vaccinated as of Monday.

Since Jan. 3, 2020, the pandemic has claimed 15,048 deaths in the country, with 841,537 confirmed cases reported as of July 19. - Florenda Corpuz
