MANILA – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday led the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ortigas and Shaw Boulevard Stations and Tunnels of the Japan-funded Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP), the Philippines’ first underground railway system, in Pasig City.

TOKYO – Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte arrived in the Japanese capital on Monday and paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the Akasaka Palace State Guest House, a day before the state funeral of slain former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
