TOKYO – Japan will confer one of its highest state honors on Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during his state visit next week, while First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos will also receive a prestigious imperial decoration, the Japanese government announced Friday.

TOKYO – Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos will pay a state visit to Japan from May 26 to 29, Japan’s Foreign Ministry said Friday.

TOKYO/MANILA – The Philippines is expected to benefit from Japan’s planned $10 billion support package aimed at strengthening energy security and supply stability across Asia.
