PASAY CITY – Some 1.5 million doses of Sinovac’s CoronaVac vaccine arrived in the Philippines at 7:59 a.m., May 7, the single biggest delivery made by the China-based manufacturer so far.
To date, the country has received a total of 5,540,600 doses of anti-COVID vaccines, which include five million Sinovac doses, 525,600 AstraZeneca doses and 15,000 Gamaleya doses.
Secretary Carlito G Galvez, Jr., National Task Force Against COVID-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar, earlier said that the government also expects the delivery of AstraZeneca as well as Pfizer vaccines under the COVAX facility within this second quarter.
