Coco Martin is taking his famous character Tanggol on an intense new journey in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” an action-packed series airing on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5. The new season delivers adrenaline-pumping encounters and dramatic transformations that are captivating fans.
Season 1 ended with dramatic confrontations and a thrilling cliffhanger, following Tanggol’s story as a small-time felon who grew up on the notorious streets of Quiapo, Manila. Despite his harsh upbringing due to his parents’ traumatic past, he remains resilient in navigating life’s struggles out of love for his family and his childhood best friend Mokang, played by actress Lovi Poe.
The first season earned rave reviews from viewers and was even awarded “Popular TV Program-Primetime Drama” at the recent Box Office Entertainment Awards presented by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF), Inc.
“Sa season na ito, iisip kami kung paano pa namin ilelevel up, paano namin mas pagagandahin pa. Sabi ko nga dahan-dahan nagpapasok, hindi pa nga nauubos, kumbaga iyong mga plots sa bawat character nandoon pa rin pero nagdadagdag pa kami ng mga bagong mahuhusay na mga artista,” the Kapamilya actor said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
