TOKYO – Japan has so far administered 84,009,438 doses of novel coronavirus vaccines in the country as part of the ongoing inoculation program, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced on Friday.
A total of 48,862,145 residents had received at least one shot of the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna drugs, while 35,147,293 are fully vaccinated against the deadly virus as of today.
The Olympic host nation has logged 10,699 new cases on Thursday, topping 10,000 for the first time since the pandemic began. - Florenda Corpuz
