PAL Welcomes Hidilyn Diaz as a ‘Forever Flyer’

TOKYO – Philippine Airlines (PAL) gave a warm welcome to its first “forever flyer” Filipina Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz and her team at the Narita Airport on July 28.

The 30-year-old weightlifting queen boarded the PR427 flight to Manila.

“For a wonderful homecoming flight, we have upgraded them to Business Class, and have offered our lounge as they wait for their flight. This is one of the many ways we plan to thank a True Flag Carrier," PAL said in a statement.

The national flag carrier will reward Diaz's golden feat at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with 80,000 flight miles per year for life. - Florenda Corpuz
