MANILA – The Philippines on Thursday received 896,000 shots of domestically produced AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine donated by Japan.

TOKYO – Japan has administered more than 185 million novel coronavirus vaccinations across the country since it started its inoculation program in mid-February this year.

MANILA/TOKYO – President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to Japan for its donation of about two million doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

TOKYO – Japan will supply the Philippines with an additional two million doses of the novel coronavirus vaccine developed by British drug giant AstraZeneca PLC, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said in a press conference last Friday.
