TOKYO – Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. agreed the two countries will bolster relations and further strengthen strategic partnership.

TOKYO – Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi announced on Tuesday his three-day visit to Manila to attend Philippine president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.'s inauguration ceremony on June 30.

MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte expressed his gratitude to Japan for its support to the Philippines’ economic development, particularly in funding the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP), the country’s first underground railway system.

MANILA – Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. signed and exchanged notes with Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko for the 710 million yen grant aid programs for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and the Philippine Coast Guard.
