TOKYO – Japan plans to start vaccinating people against the novel coronavirus at the end of February.

TOKYO – Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga announced that the entry of all non-resident foreign nationals into Japan would be suspended until Feb. 7 in an attempt to prevent the further spread of the novel coronavirus.

MANILA – The Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Friday announced that they will be implementing the resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) on extending the travel ban until Jan. 31.

TOKYO – Less than a week after declaring a state of emergency for Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa and Saitama, Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga placed seven additional prefectures under the declaration amid a surge in COVID-19 infections across Japan.
