TOKYO – There were an estimated 33,900 tourist arrivals from the Philippines last February, reaching 96.4% of the level recorded for the same month four years ago, before the novel coronavirus pandemic.

TOKYO – The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Feb. 12 formally introduced the “Bisita, Be My Guest (BBMG)” program to Filipinos in Japan, inviting them to take an active role in the promotion of Philippine tourism.

TOKYO – Roughly 29,700 visitors from the Philippines arrived in Japan in January, which is 82.5% of what was recorded for the same month in 2019 before the novel coronavirus pandemic began, according to a preliminary report published by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) on Wednesday.

An hour and a half train ride from central Tokyo will take one to Chichibu. But aside from its pristine beauty and spectacular events, the city’s rich cultural heritage also awaits to be discovered, experienced and enjoyed.
